Affidavits, clippings, correspondence, depositions, family papers, and forged identity documents reflecting the Deutschkrons' experiences as German Jews in hiding during World War II and their attempts to emigrate from Berlin to the U.S. with the assistance of Madison, Wisconsin residents Herman and Fannie Mack. Papers in German include a deposition by Eva Deutschkron, some of the correspondence, and most of the official documents and family papers such as citizenship, death, marriage, and military service certificates.
